Cognitive Science, music cognition, auditory stimuli, music therapy in "The Colors of the Sunrise"

A very good book for researchers interested to know the common patterns among cognitive science/AI and the studies in music and music cognition is this of Peter Desain (Donders Centre for Cognition) and Henkjan Honig with title: Music, Mind and Machine.

The book “The Colors of the Sunrise” includes a project that the reader may follow using the music of their choice after getting acquainted with the clinical music therapy practice through academic methodology and clinical guidance.

“An advanced method is attainable for the readers,

leaving their mind and body absolutely free of thoughts

and inner conflicts, following the unity of music, text,

and digitally processed image, paying attention to their

senses as well as to the feelings associated with them.

With this mode, the readers have the opportunity to

enjoy the sensation and atmosphere that the book

inspires, becoming aware at the end of their reading of

the changes in their body, mind, and “whole”

personality.

Music can be utilized here; readers can

delve into its symbolism, keeping their attention on the

tone that music gives to the text, reliving emotions that

are impossible to approach through the text or images.
