Erik Erikson and the fear of freedom.Decision-making, rationalization, dissociation, mood disorders.

A higher level of psychological maturity as expressed in the developmental stages by Erik Erikson and Jean Piaget doesn’t identify pleasure and good moments with suffering; let’s stay in the light, let’s stay in the positive side of life. Erich Fromm in his book “The Fear of Freedom” explains why humans use the defense mechanism of resistance against their own true self and feelings.

So much confusion today arises from the common standpoints regards decision-making. Often rationalization is combined with other defense mechanisms creating dissociation of the body and feelings generating finally schizoid symptoms or mood disorders.

Now, human and artificial intelligence join to bring intelligent models that assist to change the wrong cognitive schemata and conceptions about the mind. The “Colors of the Sunrise” is the project that explores the senses and heals the Whole Self bringing together data from all the systems of human organism. This is an incredible opportunity to start remembering again and transform the repressed parts of self as Jung and Freud discovered in the depth of the unconscious.
